New Characters & Power-Ups

Rosalina and Co-Star Luma join the roster as fully playable characters in this Switch 2 Edition — with Co-Star Luma uniquely controllable using the Joy-Con 2 mouse controls. When playing with two or more players, one can take on the Co-Star Luma role — collecting coins and defeating enemies without taking damage. The new Super Flower Pot power-up transforms Mario into a bed of flowers, throwing blooms that ascend upward to break items and damage enemies. The game also introduces double badges — combining two powers in one for expanded gameplay strategies, such as wall-climbing combined with grappling vine throwing.

Bellabel Park — New Multiplayer Hub

Bellabel Park is a brand-new area of the Flower Kingdom discovered by Captain Toad, featuring two large plazas — Attraction Central and Camp Central — packed with competitive and co-operative multiplayer content.

Attraction Central

A multiplayer arena supporting up to 12 players online with six competitive and co-operative attraction minigames:

• 💰 Fast Cash: Tip Tap's Coin Spree — collect as many gold coins as you can
• ⚡ Shocking! Zap Frenzy — use lightning rods to zap opponents in a timed arena battle
• 🙈 Run, Hide! Phanto Tag — hide-and-seek using the shift ability with a Mario twist
• 🌀 And more racing and skill-based attractions

Toad Brigade Training Camp

Up to four players can take on 70+ special challenges together locally — coin collecting, time trials, enemy defeating, and more. Completing challenges earns Bellabel Water to grow plants that unlock decorations, greetings, and customization items for Attraction Central and Camp Central.
