Sunset Overdrive from Insomniac Games turns the end of the world into a party. A tainted energy drink called Overcharge Delirium XT has turned Sunset City's population into orange-skinned mutants called OD'd, and you are the low-ranking event worker who has to clean up the mess. Grind on rails, bounce off cars, run on walls, and chain shots together with a custom arsenal of cartoon weapons. The game breaks the fourth wall, mocks itself constantly, and rewards you for being as flashy as possible.

Gameplay Enhancements
Standing still gets you killed. Sunset Overdrive forces you to move, and rewards you for moving with flair. The longer you grind, bounce, and shoot without touching the dirt, the higher your style meter climbs. Once it caps, you unlock Amps that add fire damage, lightning chains, or other gimmicks to your guns.
The character creator lets you build any look you want, swap clothes mid-mission, and change gender or body type at any time. Your character also talks to the player directly, calling out tropes the game itself is using.
Side missions break the structure of most open-world games. One mission asks you to fetch toilet paper. Another sends you to set off fireworks. The tone stays loud, silly, and self-aware the whole way through.
