Gameplay Enhancements
Borderlands 2 follows four new Vault Hunters as they try to bring down Handsome Jack, the smiling tyrant who took over Pandora. The Pre-Sequel jumps back in time to show how Jack went from cubicle worker to mass murderer, set on the moon Elpis with low gravity, oxygen management, and air dashes.
Each class plays differently. Axton drops sentry turrets, Maya phaselocks enemies in a stasis bubble, Salvador dual-wields any two guns, Zer0 cloaks and teleports for backstabs, Gaige spawns a robot pet, and Krieg trades safety for melee carnage. Each Vault Hunter has thousands of skill builds.
The Pre-Sequel adds Claptrap, Wilhelm, Athena, Nisha, Aurelia, and Jack himself as playable characters, plus new ice and laser weapon types that did not exist in Borderlands 2.
