AOC CQ27G3S 27" QHD Curved Gaming Monitor – 2560 × 1440 Resolution, VA Panel, 165Hz Refresh Rate, 1ms Response Time, AMD FreeSync Premium, 1000R Curvature, 3-Sided Frameless Design, Gaming Display Modes, Shadow and Colour Controls, Height-Adjustable Stand, 100 × 100mm Wall Mount Compatibility, Black and Red – Model CQ27G3S is a performance-focused gaming monitor designed to deliver immersive curved-screen visuals, responsive gameplay, and detailed QHD image quality. Combining a 27-inch VA display with a 165Hz refresh rate and a stated 1ms response time, the CQ27G3S is suitable for competitive gaming, visually detailed adventures, racing games, and everyday multimedia entertainment. Its pronounced 1000R curvature enhances the wraparound viewing experience, while the black-and-red design gives the monitor a distinctive gaming appearance.

The 27-inch QHD display offers a native resolution of 2560 × 1440 pixels, providing greater image detail than conventional Full HD resolution. This makes it possible to enjoy sharper in-game environments, clearer visual elements, and additional working space for compatible desktop applications. The VA panel delivers the display characteristics associated with VA technology, supporting detailed gaming visuals and clear picture presentation. Whether exploring expansive virtual environments, watching multimedia content, or completing everyday computing tasks, the CQ27G3S provides a practical balance of screen size and resolution.

One of the monitor's defining features is its 1000R curved panel, designed to create a more immersive viewing experience by wrapping the image around the user's field of view. The pronounced curvature helps the screen feel more engaging during racing games, adventure titles, and visually rich virtual environments. Compared with a conventional flat display, the curved design creates a different sense of visual depth and involvement, particularly when the user is seated near the centre of the screen. This makes the CQ27G3S a compelling choice for players seeking an immersive gaming atmosphere without moving to a substantially larger monitor.

For fast-paced gameplay, the monitor offers a refresh rate of up to 165Hz and a stated 1ms response time. A higher refresh rate enables compatible gaming hardware to present more image updates per second, contributing to smoother motion in competitive shooters, racing simulations, action games, and other fast-moving titles. The response-time specification is intended to help limit visible motion blur and pixel-transition trailing during rapid changes on screen. Actual performance depends on the selected display settings, supported connection mode, response-time configuration, and capabilities of the connected gaming system.

AMD FreeSync Premium support adds adaptive synchronization for compatible systems, helping reduce visible screen tearing and gameplay stutter caused by mismatches between the monitor's refresh rate and the graphics processor's frame output. This feature is especially useful during games where frame rates change dynamically as scenes become more demanding. When paired with suitable hardware and supported settings, FreeSync Premium helps maintain more consistent visual presentation, allowing players to concentrate on gameplay rather than distracting display artifacts.

The AOC CQ27G3S also incorporates a 3-sided frameless design that provides a clean, modern display appearance and minimizes the visual prominence of the surrounding borders. This design helps focus attention on the screen content and can complement compatible multi-monitor desk arrangements. The supplied gaming display modes offer configuration options for different types of games, while shadow and colour controls help players adjust visual settings according to the requirements of particular gaming environments. These features provide additional flexibility for competitive titles and games featuring darker scenes or challenging visibility conditions.

Comfort and flexible positioning are important considerations for extended gaming sessions. The CQ27G3S includes a height-adjustable stand that enables users to position the monitor at a preferred viewing level according to their desk arrangement and seating position. Adjustable height can help create a more comfortable setup for long periods of gaming, studying, or general computer use. The monitor also supports a 100 × 100mm wall-mounting pattern, providing compatibility with appropriate mounting accessories where an alternative installation method is desired.

Designed with a distinctive black-and-red appearance, the AOC CQ27G3S combines a 27-inch QHD VA panel, pronounced 1000R curvature, 165Hz refresh rate, 1ms response-time specification, AMD FreeSync Premium, 3-sided frameless styling, gaming display modes, shadow and colour adjustment, and an adjustable stand. Whether used with a compatible gaming PC or a modern gaming console operating within its supported video-output capabilities, the monitor offers a versatile gaming display experience focused on immersive visuals, responsive performance, and comfortable everyday use.
